Minehead Poetry Competition

Minehead Poetry Competition is run by volunteers with the support of Minehead and Coast Development Trust, Minehead Town Council and Somerset Council. 
With the valued support of Minehead Development Trust, Minehead Town Council and Somerset Council, Minehead Poetry Competition was granted permission to offer a spectacular prize to the winning entries. In 2024, selected lines from the 6 winning poems will be immortalised on the Victorian sea front shelters which line our beautiful coast. QR codes will be printed below the lines of poetry, taking visitors and locals alike to their website, where they can enjoy the poems in full.
