Minehead's Mayor Cllr. Terry Venner presented the Francis James - Minehead Town Club Cup to Dave Lewis at Minehead Boxing Club on Wednesday 14th September 2011, for the best junior boxers 2010 - 2011. Cllr. Venner also presented James Bickham with the best senior boxer trophy. Minehead Boxing Club was also presented witha first aid kit by Minehead's Shop Patrol, with the the Club expressing its thanks for the first aid kit. The club welcomes new members and is open to both girls and boys between the ages of 11 and upwards and men and women up to the age of 30. Club nights are on Mondays and Wednesday nights, 7 to 8pm for juniors and 8 to 9pm for seniors. For more information contact Cllr. Danny McGee.
