On Saturday 27 July the Mayor and Deputy Mayor, together with the Chairman of the Friends of Minehead Station, Martyn Snell, welcomed visitors off the first 'shuttle linked' train from Taunton for many years. They said: "..we really want to welcome everyone who has arrived, and let's hope it's the start of something else....there's a lot of people here who are just on holiday, which is great".
