On 30th October The Mayor, along with with Councillor Christine Lawrence, went to the Methodist Church for the "Brownies Love Minehead" Service. She said the Brownies had done a splendid job identifying all the things they liked (and disliked) in the town. They had planted the bulbs in Blenheim Gardens and picked up litter on the Esplanade. Both Councillors had given the the Brownies an inspirational talk.
The Mayor, Cllr Jean Parbrook, said that on 23rd October she had attended West Somerset Council's Civic Service in Dulverton.

The Mayor Cllr Jean Parbrook and Cllr A Parbrook attended a Service of Thanksgiving and Reflection at Harvest Time at Wells Cathedral. This was a splendid occasion with supper provided afterwards which was hosted by Somerset Young Farmers.
The Mayor Cllr Jean Parbrook was accompanied by her husband Cllr A Parbrook to a tea dance at the Windsor Nursing Home. They both enjoyed the occasion, Cllr A Parbrook proved to be an excellent dancer.
