On the 17th June 2011 the West Somerset Railway celebrated the contribution made by local hero's at 40 Commando Royal Marines and to commemorate the sacrifice made by them recently in Afghanistan and Iraq by re-naming a Manor class locomotive number 7828 to 'Norton Manor' the name of the units base at Norton Fitzwarren, the Deputy Mayor Cllr. Marcus Kravis attended the ceremony.
On the 17th June the Mayor Cllr Terry Venner was asked to present a bouquet of flowers to Mrs Annie Isherwood a resident of Wyndham House who is 100 years old, she will be 101 in September.
On the 15th June the Mayor of Minehead Cllr Terry Venner attended a training course with other Minehead Town Councillors at Moorlands Hall, Wheddon Cross.
On the 8th June the Mayor Cllr. Terry Venner and other Minehead Town Councillors attended a presentation at Minehead Football Club.
On the 1st June 2011 - The Mayor Cllr. Terry Venner gave a gift of a 'Picture of Exmoor' which was to be presented to the Mayor of St Berthevin on behalf of Minehead Town Council.
