The Mayor of Minehead Cllr Tony Berry presented the cheque to members of The Regal Theatre.
At the Full Council Meeting held on February 19th 2013 it was agreed that the Regal Theatre would be granted funds (Ten Thousand Pounds) from Minehead Town Council to bridge their gap in funding of their “Lift Off “ project to complete the restoration works and installation of new lift to this historic building in Minehead.
The Mayor of Minehead Cllr Tony Berry presented the cheque to members of The Regal Theatre. On Saturday 9th February 2013 at 10.00am, The Mayor of Minehead, Cllr. A Berry formally opened the new shoe shop in Park Street called "Frasers" . The shop is owned by Paul Fraser who already has a ladies wear/shoe shop in Porlock and was helped by his wife Tracy who owns Grace at No5 in Blenheim Road. The new owners are excited about the new stop which will offer good quality shoes for men, women and children. The adult shoe ranges include Josef Siebel, Adesso, Riva and Van Dal, there is also a separate room for childrens shoes, which will initially offer the Start Rite range. The Mayor of Minehead attending this function with his wife Monica said it was important to support local business's and wished both Tracy and Paul every success for the future.
