
Amnesty International set up a stall on the 7th December 2013 to mark Human Right's Day, they also decorated a Christmas Tree with doves and dragons at the Methodist Church Christmas Tree Festival.
The Mayor of Minehead Cllr. Val Welch and the Deputy Mayor Cllr. Ron Bridle signed four greetings cards which had already been signed by at least 100 other signatories. The cards were then sent out together with letters written a few days earlier (November 28th) to respective governments.
Amnesty fights for people around the world whose lives and liberty are risked when they fight to defend human rights.
