The Mayor of Minehead, Cllr Jean Parbrook, accompanied by her Deputy, Cllr David Archer and the Town Clerk Mrs Susan Sanders, attended the Grand Opening of The Beach Hotel on Saturday 18 July at 7.00 pm. This event was hosted by Minehead Information Centre in conjunction with The Beach Hotel and Minehead Museum. The event gave them a chance to view the rooms and facilities at the hotel, see the exhibits in the Museum and meet those working and volunteering at the venue. The experience was completed by hors d'oeuvres, wine and music.

The Mayor of Minehead, Cllr Jean Parbrook, was pleased to attend the C.L.O.W.N.S. Annual General Meeting, held at 7.30 pm on Tuesday, 14 July in the cafe at Minehead Eye. The opening speaker was David Taylor, chairman of Somerset Rural Youth project.
The Mayor of Minehead Cllr Jean Parbrook accompanied by her husband Cllr Andrew Parbrook attended the Somerset Schools Folk Dance Festival on Saturday June 13 th, 2015. Guests were invited to a buffet lunch at St Cuthbert's Church, Wells from 12.45 pm before joining the procession through the town to the Cathedral Green to watch the school children taking part in the Folk Dance Festival. Dignitaries were encouraged to take part in the dancing and enjoyed it very much. After the dancing guests were invited to join the Mayor of Wells for afternoon tea.
The Annual West Somerset Volunteer of the Year Awards run by Engage took place on Friday 5th June 2015. The Mayor of Minehead Cllr Jean Parbrook was invited to attend the award ceremony which was held at the Beach Hotel in Minehead in their function room at 11.30 pm.
The Mayor of Minehead Cllr Jean Parbrook was pleased to be invited to the official unveiling of the Jubilee Clock. Prior to the unveiling of the clock there was music by the Seaside Syncopators which commenced at 2.45pm. The unveiling was undertaken by the Lord Lieutenant of Somerset Mrs Ann Maw on Tuesday 2nd June at 3.00 pm.
